Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups kale, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion softens.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add diced potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped kale and cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and mix in the heavy cream.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
