- 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sake
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sake.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread chicken onto skewers.
- Grill skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
- Brush with remaining marinade while grilling.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Use a meat thermometer to check if chicken reaches 165°F.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to skewers.
