  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  4. Spread the butter mixture under the skin of the turkey.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the bread crumbs, onion, carrots, and celery.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  7. Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  8. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow the skin to brown.
  9. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  10. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
