Ingredients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 cups stuffing of your choice
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, parsley)
- 2 cups cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
- Rub the olive oil all over the turkey.
- Season the turkey with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with your chosen stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan.
- Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs over the turkey.
- Roast in the oven for about 3-4 hours, basting every hour.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Serve with cranberry sauce.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
- Let the turkey sit out for 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking.
