Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Drain spaghetti and add it to the tomato sauce.
  8. Toss well to combine and heat through.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the pasta; it should be slightly firm when you bite it.
  • You can add chili flakes for some heat.
