Ingredients

- 200g spaghetti
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt.
- Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Drain spaghetti and add it to the tomato sauce.
- Toss well to combine and heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
- Don’t overcook the pasta; it should be slightly firm when you bite it.
- You can add chili flakes for some heat.
- Feel free to use fresh tomatoes if you prefer.
