- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each pasta shell with the cheese mixture using a spoon.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcook the pasta; it should be firm.
- You can add cooked spinach or ground meat to the cheese mixture for extra flavor.
- Use a spoon or piping bag for easier filling of the shells.
