- 500g steak, diced
- 250g sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 300ml beef stock
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large pan, cook the onion and carrots until soft.
- Add the steak and sausage, cooking until browned.
- Stir in the flour and mix well.
- Add the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 15 minutes until thickened.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
- Cover with puff pastry and seal the edges.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

- Use leftover meat for a quicker option.
- Make sure the pastry is sealed well to avoid leaks.
- Let the pie cool slightly before cutting to maintain the shape.
