Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add diced tomatoes, salt, sugar, basil, and black pepper.
- Stir well and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
