Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Grated parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Add canned tomatoes and dried basil. Simmer for 10 minutes.
