Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add vanilla extract and eggs to the mixture. Stir well.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix milk, self-rising flour, and melted butter until smooth.
  6. Pour the pumpkin mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Pour the milk mixture over the pumpkin mixture. Do not stir.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  • Ensure the pumpkin puree is not sweetened.
  • You can use fresh or canned pumpkin puree.
