A simple and delicious orange chicken recipe that you can easily make at home.

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
- Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch until they are fully covered.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the coated chicken to the pan and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the pan.
- Stir well to coat the chicken and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and garnish with green onions.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Make sure not to overcrowd the pan when frying the chicken.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
- You can use frozen orange juice if fresh is not available.
