  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until onion is soft.
  3. Pour in the diced tomatoes and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Add water, salt, and pasta. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and cover. Cook for 10-12 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Stir in dried basil and black pepper.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
