Ingredients

  • 1 medium spaghetti squash
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Drizzle olive oil on the cut sides and sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the squash cut-side down on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the squash is tender.
  6. Once cooked, use a fork to scrape the flesh into spaghetti-like strands.
  7. In a large bowl, mix the spaghetti squash strands with marinara sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
