Ingredients

  • 200g of pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 400g of canned tomatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the canned tomatoes to the pan and stir. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the sauce.
  8. Toss to combine and heat through.
  9. Serve with fresh basil on top.
