Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  2. Drain the macaroni and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour and stir for 1 minute to make a roux.
  5. Slowly whisk in the milk. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  6. Add cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until cheese melts.
  7. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce. Mix well.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
