Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is soft.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, topped with remaining mozzarella cheese.
