Description

A simple and fun recipe for kids’ meals that is easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of mixed vegetables
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pot, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Add mixed vegetables and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  6. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and add it to the pan with vegetables.
  7. Add salt and soy sauce if using, and stir well to combine.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure not to lift the lid while the rice is cooking.
  • You can use frozen mixed vegetables for convenience.
