A simple and delicious Japanese soup recipe for beginners.
Ingredients

- 4 cups dashi broth
- 1 cup tofu, cubed
- 1 cup miso paste
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 1 cup seaweed (wakame), rehydrated
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
Instructions
- Heat the dashi broth in a pot over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cubed tofu and rehydrated seaweed.
- In a small bowl, mix miso paste with a ladle of hot broth until smooth.
- Pour the miso mixture back into the pot and stir well.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes without boiling.
- Remove from heat and add sliced green onions.
- Serve hot in bowls.
Notes
- Adjust miso to taste; start with less if unsure.
- Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
- Don’t let the soup boil once miso is added.
