- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
- Do not overmix the dough to keep cookies soft.
- Use parchment paper to prevent cookies from sticking.
