- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour to the melted butter and stir for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add the cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until the cheese melts.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.

Notes
- To prevent the cheese from clumping, make sure to stir constantly while adding it.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach your desired consistency.
