- 1 tsp salt

- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)

- Ketchup
- Mustard
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Shape the mixture into four equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun, then adding lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overwork the beef when mixing.
- Make an indent in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
