Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions.
  2. In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Drain spaghetti, reserving some pasta water.
  5. Add spaghetti to the pan with garlic butter. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Serve with chopped parsley on top.

Notes

  • Don’t burn the garlic; it should be golden, not brown.
