Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each shrimp into buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
  4. Next, roll the shrimp in cornmeal until fully coated.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove shrimp and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave.
  9. Assemble tacos by placing shrimp on tortillas and topping with cabbage, avocado, and salsa.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy your tacos!
