- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon thyme

- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Brown the chicken thighs on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet, cooking until soft.
- Stir in the apples and thyme, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, mixing well.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
- Transfer everything to a casserole dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
- Serve hot with rice or crusty bread.

- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter option.
- Add more vegetables like carrots or peas if desired.
