- 1 lb white fish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime (cut into wedges)
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
Instructions
- Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat each fish fillet with the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the fish fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove fish from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing fish on tortillas and topping with cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, and sour cream.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to prevent sogginess.
- Check the fish for doneness; it should flake easily with a fork.
