Ingredients

- 1 pound of pasta
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) of diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water and add salt.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add diced tomatoes, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Stir to combine.
- Serve topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
- Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Use fresh tomatoes if preferred, just chop and add them.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
