  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add egg, eggnog, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the butter mixture. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
  6. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
  9. Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
