- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add egg, eggnog, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Make sure butter is softened for easy mixing.
- Don’t overmix the dough to keep cookies soft.
- Allow cookies to cool completely for better texture.
