Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the chopped cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, layer half of the cooked cabbage.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the cabbage.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining cabbage, cream mixture, and cheese.
  8. Top with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
