Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix molasses, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
  3. Add the egg and mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are set.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
