A simple and tasty crunch roll sushi bowl recipe for beginners.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 1/2 cup imitation crab meat, chopped
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Soy sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and gently mix in the vinegar mixture.
- In a bowl, layer the sushi rice, cucumber, avocado, carrot, and crab meat.
- Top with panko breadcrumbs for crunch.
- Serve with soy sauce on the side.
Notes
- Make sure to rinse the rice well to remove excess starch.
- Let the rice cool before adding the vinegar mixture.
- Feel free to add other toppings like sesame seeds or seaweed.
