Creamy Spinach Mushroom Lasagna in 7 Easy Steps!

Description

Creamy spinach mushroom lasagna is a comforting dish perfect for any occasion. This recipe combines layers of pasta with creamy spinach and mushrooms, topped with cheese for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in fresh spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the parmesan cheese.
  7. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  8. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Add half of the ricotta mixture, half of the spinach and mushroom mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  9. Repeat the layers: noodles, sauce, ricotta, spinach and mushrooms, and mozzarella.
  10. Top the final layer with the remaining noodles, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.
  11. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  13. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to cook the noodles al dente to prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers.
  • You can prepare the lasagna ahead of time and refrigerate it before baking.
