Ingredients

- 2 cups of rice
- 4 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the salt and olive oil to the boiling water.
- Add the rinsed rice to the pot.
- Stir once, then cover the pot with a lid.
- Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 18 minutes.
- After 18 minutes, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes without lifting the lid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
Notes
- Make sure to rinse the rice to remove excess starch.
- Do not lift the lid while cooking.
- For extra flavor, you can add herbs or spices to the water.
