Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  6. Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top.
  7. Add more batter to fill the cup to about 3/4 full.
  8. Top each muffin with the remaining cinnamon sugar.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is not too hot when mixing with wet ingredients.
  • Don’t overmix the batter; it’s okay if there are some lumps.
