Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool completely before icing.
- To make the icing, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
Notes
- Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
