Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture. Mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
