- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
- Add sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and cook until browned.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked potatoes, sausage mixture, milk, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

- Feel free to use any type of cheese you like.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra flavor.
- Ensure potatoes are fully cooked for the best texture.
