Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips for garnish
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add butter, egg yolk, and wine. Knead until smooth.
  3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough thinly and cut into circles.
  5. Wrap circles around cannoli tubes and seal edges with a bit of water.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the tubes until golden brown. Remove and cool.
  7. In another bowl, mix ricotta, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
  8. Fill cooled tubes with the ricotta mixture.
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  10. Serve immediately or chill before serving.
