Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter and sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges look firm.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
- Make sure your butter is not too hot, as it can cook the egg when mixed.
- For chewy cookies, do not overmix the dough.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
