  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add flour and stir until smooth. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
  5. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Add salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  8. Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni. Stir until well coated.
  9. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
