- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup prepared vanilla pudding
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add in the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut the cake in half horizontally.
- Spread vanilla pudding on the bottom layer.
- Place the top layer back on the cake.
- In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until just boiling.
- Add chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour the chocolate glaze over the top of the cake.
- Let the chocolate set before slicing.
Notes
- Make sure the butter is soft for easy mixing.
- Check the cake for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the cake cool completely to prevent melting the pudding.
