- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir for about 1 minute.
- Gradually add the milk while stirring. Cook until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and mix in the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
