- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add the trimmed asparagus and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until asparagus is tender.
- Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth.
